Connah Podmore's multidisciplinary practice incorporates photography, weaving, painting and text alongside her characteristic charcoal works. Her art often explores themes of memory and domesticity, capturing ordinary - even mundane - scenes with poetic care.
Connah was the winner of the 2023 Parkin Drawing Prize, and has exhibited throughout Aotearoa. Recents exhibitions include Tracing Intricacies (Webb’s Gallery, Wellington), Ordinary Devotion (Toi Pōneke, Wellington), Care taking (Meanwhile, Wellington) and The room where your brother was born (RM, Auckland).
Connah completed a Master of Fine Arts with distinction at Massey University, Wellington, in 2013. She currently lives with her partner and two young children.
